Office Pranks

I am a big fan of the office pranks. If a coworker leaves his computer on while he has gone to the gym or has stepped out to get dinner, you can bet that I will try to use this to my advantage and change his screen saver to something 'special.' Luckily FaceInHole.com has made pranking even easier and more fun. The site allows you to place a picture of your friends' / coworkers' face in a variety of layouts from your favorite television shows such as Girls Next Door to a view titled 'Man with Lion'. Clearly the options and the fun are endless so let the pranking begin!

I Got My Flippy Floppies

This is my favorite YouTube video period. When my day of cold calling (read telemarketing) is going nowhere, a quick listen and viewing of "I Am on a Boat" truly brightens up my day. The kids at The Lonely Island who have produced a host of crowd pleasers broadcasted on SNL, but 'I Am on a Boat' takes the cake for me. And yes I got my nautical themed pashmina afghan... as well as my flippy floppies.

My Dream Commute

I walk to work every morning. I am extremely (extremely!) lucky. I get to be outside, walk by rowdy elementary school kids and remember the joys of uniforms, flashcards and homework as well as avoid a crowded train / traffic. However, if I were to ever commute, I secretly would hold out hope every day that this would happen. This clip was used as a TMobile advertisement, and I loved every minute of it. Can you honestly imagine if everyone in the train station broke out into a synchronized dance routine! It would be the best day of my life. So to you London commuters who were able to witness this first hand: I am envious of you. To my fellow San Franciscans, watch out... maybe one day I will create a synchronized dance with a few friends to bring some laughter and enjoyment to your work day.

For the Artistic Types

I really enjoy projects. This one time I thought it would be fun to make a coffee table. Luckily by the time I made it to Home Depot, I realized losing one of my fingers to a Skil saw was a high probability outcome, and I luckily backed away from said project. I recently did see this really neat photo activity which seemed much more realistic. Project: Go throughout your city and take pictures of a variety of items which form the letters in your last name, street name or an inspirational saying / word; Find a frame that has the number of cutouts needed; Insert your photos and you have a pretty great piece of art. If that seems like too daunting of a task, you can just buy it here. BUT you won't get the bragging rights when people compliment your ingenuity and creativtiy!

Guilty Pleasures

Why is it that I love to watch a show about snobby teenagers in high school? I can not relate at all to their high school experience; I am very far removed from my own high school experience and yet I am totally enamored with Gossip Girl. The plot is really quite terrible; the acting is far worse, but once a week for forty minutes (because I can only watch this show on DVR as watching commercials on a 'live' viewing is pure torture due to ALL the cliff hangers) I am completely captivated and quite frankly feel less intelligent post-show. My challenge to you: Watch it and try to not become hooked by the ridiculous turns of fate / plot. And if you aren't hooked, you are probably just lying to yourself.

xoxo
You know you love me.

Funnier Than Any Google Commercial

I LOVE the Jerry Seinfeld & Bill Gates commercial, and quite frankly my favorite of the series was commercial #1 when they are in Shoe Circus, and there is absolutely no tangible connection to Microsoft or Microsoft products. Why? Bill Gates seems as boring as dirt in press conferences and in general life, and in this commercial series, he lets people make fun of him for how socially awkward he is. I am sorry, but Bill Gates doing the robot is really quite funny. Microsoft has gotten free advertising due to all the responses to the ad, and in my opinion, really shown up all the Apple v. IBM commercials in terms of humor. So Microsoft keep them coming -- I am definitely a fan.

Oh You Shouldn't Have Fred

What to do for that person who has it all? Get them something absolutely ridiculous (borderline useless) on Fred & Friends. It comes in handy when you have exercised every possible gift idea, and maybe you fancy yourself to have a sense of humor. So for the person who loves to clean in your life: The Dust Bunny , that not-so-mysterious guest who stuck gum under your coffee table: Stuck Up, the hostess with the mostest: Fingerfood. All of life's gift giving mysteries solved in one website. If only the mystery of what I should be doing with my life were so easily solved.

An Ecard Like No Other

Some days you just want to send a card to that former boyfriend or girlfriend, current coworker or failed date, but it is often hard to find one that is fitting. Those are the days you need to take a quick peek at Someecards because you won't find cards like it anywhere else. They have covered some of the obvious topics like Birthdays and Farewells as well as some of the non-obvious like Cry for Help, Flirting or Breakup.

A couple of my favorites include:
My New iPhone
Inbox Troubles
Joint Birthday Party

Even if you don't end up sending one, at least you can laugh at all the ones that had potential.
